The LaRue County Chamber of
Commerce operates a Visitor's Center to provide information to guests to the
area on the local Lincoln attractions, as well as directions to other areas of
interest in the region.
Lincoln's birthplace is about 3 miles south of Hodgenville and his Boyhood Home
is approximately 7 miles northeast of Hodgenville. Both of these areas are
managed by the National Park Service.
The Lincoln Museum, Kentucky's official museum related to Lincoln's life and
times, occupies two historic buildings in downtown Hodgenville.
The Lincoln Statue was placed on
the town square in 1910, with Lincoln's son attending the dedication ceremony.
It remains a fixture on the Hodgenville town square and is a popular photo-op
with residents and visitors alike.
